Vietnam – Export turnover of wood and wood products in the first 4 months of 2022 reached 5.48 billion USD, up 4.9% over the same period in 2021. It is forecasted that the export of wood and wood products in the first half of 2022 may be increased from 5-8%.
Not only closed orders until the end of the third quarter of 2022, a number of wood enterprises have also completed orders by the end of 2022. These businesses are expected to grow well thanks to positive exports this year.
According to the Wood and Forest Products Association (Vifores), the export turnover of wood and wood products in the first four months of 2022 reached US$5.48 billion, up 4.9% over the same period in 2021; in which, export turnover in April alone reached 1.5 billion USD, up 7.3% over the same period. It is forecast that the export of wood and wood products in the first half of 2022 may increase by 5-8%.
According to the survey results in 100 markets by the Center for Industrial Research of Italy (CSIL), in 2022, the global wood furniture market will grow by about 4%. Among markets, European and Asian markets will have the strongest growth in furniture consumption. Regarding the main market of Vietnam’s wood industry, North America, will continue to grow steadily.
