Suzano – Brazilian pulp supplier and producer has announced that it will increase the price of 50 USD/ton for their bleached eucalyptus kraft (BEK) pulp in the Asian market, applicable to orders from February. 2022.
This is the third price increase announced by the company recently, in December 2021 the company increased the price by 20 USD/ton and in early January 2022 increased the price by 30 USD/ton.
Market researchers said that due to the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic, market volatility and demand have supported Suzano Company’s continued implementation of further price increases in Asia. Meanwhile, the inventory of hardwood pulp in China is low, the operating ratio of local paper manufacturers is better, but the difficulty of logistics costs and transportation costs is still having a great impact on the delivery.
