The difference between the types of pulp contained in paper towels

On paper towels, there is always information about the type of paper that is virgin, pure, or recycled pulp. So how are these three different and which should users choose?

Natural Virgin Pulp

First talk about tissue paper made entirely from virgin pulp, when it comes to virgin, one hundred percent must be from natural materials. That’s right, the pulp of this tissue paper is made from wood, cotton, jute… and is created from a single process, with the least amount of chemical treatment.

According to national hygiene standards, this is the type of tissue that wipes the face and mouth because it contains bacteria within an allowable limit according to regulations.

Pure Pulp

Next is tissue paper made entirely from pure pulp. This type of paper in China and Indonesia is called Mixed Pulp because it contains a mixture of natural and other materials.

Suppliers of the two countries also provide an explanation that this paper also contains a small amount of recycled pulp. When shopping, remember to carefully consider whether it is made from 100% natural ingredients or not, because this is also considered a natural ingredient.

This type of paper has to go through at least 2 processing processes anyway, the bacteria content per gram is also higher, and the price is also cheaper than the paper made entirely from virgin materials.

Recycled Pulp

Analyzing from regeneration first, regeneration is becoming a material made from scrap. So have you figured out what recycled pulp is yet? It is made from paper products, then bleached and deodorized, if there is still a used smell, it will add a little scent to the paper, so it becomes new paper. Hearing this, do you dare to use recycled tissue paper to wipe your face and mouth again? It is best to choose carefully.

Not done yet, in addition to paying attention to the material, you still have to pay attention to the whiteness of the paper. Do not rush to rejoice because the definition of white paper is clean paper. Why? It has to go through a lot of “bleaching” processing, so the paper made from recycled pulp is always whiter than the type made from virgin and virgin pulp, these two types are darker and always fall to the color of milk.

Because of many processing, containing many harmful chemicals, high bacteria content, this type of paper is really only suitable for cleaning, or wiping hands, but then still has to be washed with clean water for safety.
